John has two successful books, The Man Who Built Camp Cajon and From Indian Footpath to Modern Highway both part of his Trails & Tales of the Cajon Pass series. John has written for such publications as Spanish Traces magazine, a periodical of the Old Spanish Trail Association as well as the San Bernardino Sun newspaper. John participated in the National Park Service’s mapping project of the Old Spanish Trail and has conducted numerous education tours through Cajon Pass.”
